The 2nd training of 2018 for the moral & charcter education lecturers was held at the Dosan Sewon Confucianist Scholar Training Center in Andong on 26 and 27 of July to investigate how the confucianist scholar spirit of Toegye(退溪 李滉, 1501~1570, a renouned neo-Confucian scholar)can be inherited to the moral and character education of today, with 50 new lecturers participating. Participants listened to the lecture by Dr. Lee Yong-Tae on 'the directon moral and character education has to move forward' and the exemplary lectures with the parents, elementary school students and middle school students as target audiences. They also listened to the special lectures by Mr. Kim Byung-il, chairman of the Board of Dosan Sewon Confucianist Scholar Training Center, and Mr. Kim Jong-gil, the Center's president and visited the Toegye's Head House and conversed with the eldest grandson of the head family. After the presentation on the result of the operation of the 'parents group' for the character education by Ms. Kim Kyung-ja, lecturer of the Seoul Character Education Promotion Committee, on the second day, the participants had a wrap-up discussion and evaluated the training.
