New Village Code Club(鄕約契) has been inaugurated on August 2 in Seoul and announced the routinizing
of the spirit of practical confucianism in our daily life. The club, which revitalizes the tradition of Hyang’yak-
gye(鄕約契) during the Chosun Dynasty in today's world, elected Bakyak-Hue(博約會) chairman Dr. Lee
Yong-Tae as chair. It will gather every other month. During the first meeting, Dr. Lee gave a lecture on the
purpose of forming the club and on how we can practice reverence(敬) in our every day life.
